Part L1A SAP Calculation for New Build Dwellings.If you are building a new home, your Building Control Officer will ask you for a SAP Calculation. (SAP) is the UK Governments approved method of assessing a building energy performance and is used to show compliance with Approved Document Part L1A. It is also necessary for the builder to provide the prospective property owner with either a Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA) an On Construction Energy Performance Certificate (OCEPC) for when the build is complete
