The Green Deal Revolution is on its way. The Green Deal is the government’s flagship scheme for changing the way we use energy within buildings.
The Green Deal is set to launch in October 2012 and it is estimated that 14 millions homes will carry out energy saving measures under the scheme. The idea is that there will be no capital expense upfront, repayments will be made from savings in future energy bills, which according to the "Golden Rule" the repayments will be less than the savings made on the energy bill. Crucially, if the property is sold, the repayment will continue to be made through the energy bills by the new owner.
